For more information on Spring Creek Lodge, please fill out the information request form by clicking HERE.

Spring Creek Lodge is a specialty boarding school designed for boys and girls ages 13-18 yrs. who are struggling in their home, school, or community. Spring Creek also offer a behavioral modification retreat for young adults age 19-23 yrs.

The Program offers powerful intervention that includes an effective behavior modification program with a structured daily schedule, a series of highly motivational emotional growth seminar/workshops (TASKS), a progressive academic program, and daily personal development & emotional growth courses.

Spring Creek Lodge is located near Thompson Falls, Montana. The facilities are on a beautiful 25 acres of prime forest land. It is close to necessary services, while appropriately secluded away from any distractions.

Behavioral Modification

High standards and expectations are established for the kids. Inappropriate behavior is confronted, reprimanded and re-directed by suggesting alternative choices. Consequences are assigned, but never include physical or corporal punishment. On the contrary, appropriate behavior is reinforced and rewarded. A merit system is used requiring each student to earn their status and privileges through a standardized program using a system of levels that encourage achievement.

Academics

Spring Creek Lodge has an extremely progressive academic program. Students can complete courses on an accelerated basis. The curriculum is individualized and competency based, allowing students to work at their own pace and maximize the learning process. Students are not held back by other teens in the class, lesson plans, teachers' schedules, course offerings, or class availability.

Each student is assessed upon admission and then assisted in designing their specific course of study. The teens are tutored by a teacher and in most cases can complete courses on an accelerated basis.

Emotional Growth Courses

Ongoing Emotional Growth and Personal Development Courses are an important part of the overall program. These courses effectively utilize resources such as: audio & video tapes, selective reading material, and group feedback sessions.

TASKS (Teen Accountability, Self-Esteem and Keys to Success)

Students participate in a series of seminars designed specifically for Spring Creek. During the TASKS seminars & workshops, they work on specific issues such as: accountability, honesty, integrity, trust, choices, responsibility, anger and especially self-esteem.

After the student has completed their series of seminars then the parents are invited to attend a Parent Seminar and two Parent/Child Seminars. Parent/Child seminars are designed to assist each family in rebuilding the family unit.

Activities

Both on- and off-campus activities provide a proper balance of recreation, exercise, learning, personal development and social opportunities.

Initially all activities are on grounds. Over a period of time students may earn the privilege of participating in off grounds activities. The facility is located in a gorgeous mountain area which is conducive to a number of outdoor activities, such as: fishing, hiking, kayaking, rafting, and cross-country skiing. A variety of other activities include movies, bowling, and cultural events.

Growing and Winning

The combination of behavior modification, TASKS, education, emotional growth courses, activities and daily structure assists the kids in making new working choices in their lives.

Working together with our parents, as a team, is a key component to the success of the Program. Families have frequent phone contact with their child's case manager, and when appropriate, the child is included. Communication with the family is instrumental in addressing issues, creating a family purpose and vision, reaching understandings, and setting goals. Commitment to each student and their family is one of the reasons Spring Creek is so successful.

We truly believe there is not a better option available than what we can offer you and your child through this process.

True re-enactment about a teen who succumbs to the pressures of girl culture, desires to be popular, and ends up a drug user. She then finds the help and support necessary to change her path, regain her self esteem and make working choices in her life. The script for this movie was actually written by the teen who was lost and found her way back. -- To top it all off, she portrays one of the teens in the movie.
